Hebrews Devotional 3/3

Hebrews 11:4-6
By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead. By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

This passage of scripture is all about faith – heroes of the Kingdom believing and trusting God for the the unseen. It speaks about our walk, trust and fellowship with God. Abel and Enoch put their faith before sight, and believed God for the impossible.

Our walk…
Our faith is measured by our walk with God, not by our feelings. We should always seek to be in alignment with the Holy Spirit.

Our trust…
Faith accesses what God has already planned to do. The better we know God, the more we will trust Him.

Our fellowship…
Fellowship with God can be rich, intimate and powerful. No matter where we are at in our faith journey, true fellowship with Jesus provides us with strength.

Let us be people who please God by our faith.
