Romans 1:12
“When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.”
I’ve been thinking lately about the unique beauty of the church in its diversity – so many different backgrounds, cultures, languages, ages make up the “people of God”.
As I read this verse, I’m reminded of the unique beauty in the GATHERING of all the believers and the fact that we get to encourage one another in the faith – no matter who we are or where we come from!
The journey of faith was never meant to be one that was walked alone. It was always God’s intention for us be in community – beautiful, diverse, unique community – the Church. It’s a powerful thing. We must not look down on it, but rather embrace it, with all of its quirks and flaws and love and faithfulness.
Be encouraged today that you are called to be a part of the church – God has gifted you with an encouragement that only you can bring.
